The end is near!
Shortly after the earthquake in Indonesia, leaving over 4000 killed and hundreds of thousands homeless.... Oh sorry, that whas the wrong one. I mean the catastrophical earthquake in Stockholm with a broken window and a lot of lost nights of sleep, DN publishes an article on a tsunami in Sweden similar to the one in December 2004. 145 million years ago. It's fun how the relate the tsunami one and a half year ago with something that happened in a period that I can't even grasp how long time ago it was.
Well, actually it is a rather serious article but it is great how they compare the geographical circumstances in Banda Aceh, Indonesia with some layers in Eriksdal, and the sea outside Sri Lanka with Nordsjön (North Sea?) and other familiar places at home, and not the other way around, Eriksdal with Banda Aceh, Nordsjön with Sri Lanka.
What I don't understand is the last sentence that is something like this:
"It is important to see things through a greater perspective, Skåne was already a part of Europe back then"... Huh? Well, it's not that it immigrated från South America or so.
Oh, and yeah, Sweden is now a part of a satellite project, Compass-2, that is a part of a global warning system. This satellite is supposed to warn about earthquakes 5 days before they occur. The satellite was launched last Friday, one day after the earthquake. I must say that they're moving fast back home. =)
